The ground beef, bean and cheese burrito is a crowd favorite, boasting perfectly seasoned meat and a creamy blend of beans and cheese. Even the quesadillas, served with a side of flavorful Spanish rice and guacamole, have a fan following of their own.
Each dish at El Taco reflects a dedication to quality and freshness, ensuring every bite is a celebration of authentic Mexican taste.
The Convenience of El Taco’s Drive-Thru Service
When it comes to convenience, El Taco excels with its efficient drive-thru service. Ideal for those on the go, the drive-thru ensures you can grab your favorite dishes without compromising on quality or taste. While there is a small credit card fee of 50 cents, it hardly detracts from the overall value you get from the delicious food and quick service.
This feature is particularly popular among customers who travel long distances to experience the flavors of El Taco, proving that great food is always worth the drive.
Signature Dishes That Define El Taco’s Unique Appeal
Certain dishes at El Taco have become synonymous with the restaurant’s identity, drawing patrons back time and again. Been eating the #2 chili Colorado burritos for the past 30 years. Definitely worth the drive from Riverside.
The food here is classic. The origin of Taco Bell was created here, though they try to hide that, like what Taco Bell would be if they did everything right
Many of their items are excellent: ground beef, bean and cheese burrito, and their chicken soft tacos with light red sauce come to mind. I don't usually like chicken tacos, certainly not if they are made with flour tortillas, but these are surprisingly good. There are other good items. I certainly haven't tried everything on the menu, but one thing I didn't like were their Sloppy Joes. My mom made Sloppy Joes growing up and THESE are NOT Sloppy Joes. In any case, there is plenty of tasty food on their extensive menu. You'll just have to figure out what appeals to you. Drive thru service is pretty fast. Bring cash if you don't want to pay their 50 cent credit card service fee. There used to be a BUNCH of El Tacos when I first moved to LA in 1978. This one in Downy and one in Long Beach are the only ones remaining that I know of. I was so excited to find this one. For years, I thought they had all disappeared.
Came for my usual lunch of chicken burrito and salsa on the side. When I got home and looked in the bag, I found a beef burger. The burger did not do anything to quench my desire for the chicken burrito. I'll give them a pass this time, we all make mistakes. Thanks for being in business, with all the closures we're experiencing.
This is the go to spot! Delicious, simple, and fast! Service is great and food is amazing. The egg and potato burrito with bacon bits inside is legitness! And the pink lemonade is really good!
